Why They Exist

Anyone who has spent long hours in an excavator cab knows how draining direct sunlight can be. Even with good window tint and air-conditioning, radiant heat through the glass builds up over shift – especially in hot regions like the Pilbara. In older machines, where tint has faded and air-conditioning performance has dropped, the problem is even worse. 

What They Do

All Things Diggers Sun Curtains are designed to reduce the radiant heat hitting your body through the cab windows. They don’t seal the cab or block airflow – they simply take the edge off the sun so the air-conditioning can do its job. You feel the difference immediately once installed.

How They’re Used

The system uses two or three curtains placed where sunlight hits the operator the most: the door window, the large right-hand window, and the upper section of the front window. Strong magnets allow fast installation, easy repositioning, and the ability to fold, shorten, or double up the curtain depending on sun angle. 

Important to Know

These sun curtains are not machine-specific and they are not a perfect custom fit. Small gaps may remain depending on cab shape. That said, operators consistently notice reduced radiant heat and improved comfort over a shift. They are designed to help – not completely block out the sun.
